Goals and Questions

NEW CATEGORY THOUGHT - Why was the drug created?

I: would like to take this space to more officially address the reason why this blog is being compiled. I mentioned that I want drug knowledge and safety of usage to be aided by sharing years of personal research, exploration, and analysis. Additionally, friends and acquaintances whom I've formed honest relationships with could help contribute their knowledge and research and a gigantic resource can be compiled. I do not want to waste knowledge of subjects might help myself or others.

I have a few specific Goals in mind for this blog:
-Determine why Alcohol, Caffeine, and Nicotine are common and legal intoxicants in much of the world
-Write out a history of different substances and how they have transcended time into the various drugs we consume today
-Clearly outline sections of safety and usage that people might be currently unaware of
-Highlight how different drugs interact with each other as I am experienced on the topic and explain the dangers and precautions to take to do so safely
-Give myself some sort of purpose or direction with writing that can branch me off elsewhere, preferably into health and nutrition
-Indicate just how Powerful drugs can be over the mind, from rendering someone unconscious or inducing psychotic episodes, to forcing someone to never sleep or controlling their mind.
-As I was listening to speaker Jackson Katz one day, he mentioned that it is a great tragedy when people in a position of privilege do nothing. Since I am a person with privileges, I want to exercise them and help the world with my findings!

I have long-term life goals as well that are perhaps worth knowing and can give better incite into why I am doing this
-Greatly diminish my use of animal by-products as I believe the health of other living non-human animal species is important.
-Write a subsequent blog/book, possibly called, "What's in my body?" that will begin with the goal to identify all the external substances the body comes in contact with that are not drugs (as defined in this blog). For instance, the ingredients in common hair soap, the chemicals polluting the air, or the pesticides sprayed on our food. I want to find out the real effects these common substances have, and just how dangerous the long-term effects can be - physiologically and psychologically.
-Witness the successful discovery of practical immortality, as defined by The Huffington Post: Dr. Igor Vishev is convinced that medical technology is advancing so quickly that sometime in this century Homo sapiens will become Homo immortalis. He proposes that newer discoveries such as genetic engineering nanotechnology, organ replacement or other developing technologies could make this possible [Immort 2012]. With quick research on practical immortality, I discovered biological immortality. It is similar, but rather than using machinery or technology, the concept is focused on superior health for maximum life extension.
-Formulate this blog into a well-written, easily translatable book so that vast knowledge of drugs and their subsequent effects can be spread internationally and rapidly.
-Discover drugs that can help the brain learn as if it were in a child-like state again. In other words, make it easy to learn a new language (quickly, efficiently, and fluently) or learning new skills in a rapid matter. Idea spawned from the motion picture, "Lucy" and from this news article: http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn24831-learning-drugs-reawaken-grownup-brains-inner-child.html#.VUgr2xGlGM8
-Obtain a DEA License ;)

Rambling questions as motivation that I seek answers to
How was LSD stumbled upon accidentally when Albert Hoffman was trying to make a Migraine cure? I find it such a fascinating chemical.
What inspired Alexander Shulgin to resynthesize 3,4-MDMA despite allegedly having no medicinal use upon first discovery?
Why is cannabis my personal favorite drug?
Does Ketamine have biological medical value?
Are there any other drugs besides 3,4-MDMA that have unsuspecting biological medicinal value?
